Inspiring Coffee Shops in San Diego

S3 Coffee Bar

I live down the street from S3 Coffee Bar and their food and coffee is really instagramable. I’ve watched their business closely and they started with their claim to fame - the rainbow latte! For halloween they posted a one time image of their latte served in a mini carved out pumpkin and the interest for it was so high they had special days they would serve it! Their iced coffee with home made almond milk is the best … all of my friends from LA request we go here for coffee when they visit.

They’re starting to serve my client Split Bakehouse’s vegan pastries! They’re opening a larger location with more tables just down the block — coming 2020!

Young Hickory

I love Young Hickory … and this time it’s not because of the coffee. The drinks are OK however the atmosphere is really a co-working type atmosphere with outlet plugs at almost every table. The best part is that most days they are open until 11 PM. Imagine having to work on a project and its 10PM on a Friday night and you’re surrounded by other people working or studying on their laptops. I call that inspiring camaraderie. (… and I have only done that once on a Friday night) :)

I always try and bring my reusable keep cups to coffee shops!

Communal Coffee

This place can get crowded but there is a lot of seating and great outdoor seating as well! They have coffee “flights” and some breakfast foods as well as a small gift shop. I normally do meet-ups or bring guests here because of the atmosphere!
